Hi, my name is Brenda, a nurse and midwife for over 23 years, living and working in the United Kingdom. I really care about people’s lives, happiness and well being. I trained and obtained my nursing degree in Jamaica and then trained at the University of Brighton in the UK to become a midwife. I also studied diabetes at post graduate level at the University of Bedfordshire as I have a keen interest in chronic disease prevention and management through life style choices first and foremost.

How I Aim to Help You
I will share important information that will support you to gain and maintain a healthy weight and live a balanced life to help prevent/reduce the risk of chronic diseases related to lack of exercise and food choices that cause nutritional imbalance and ill health. Over the years that I have been working as midwife, advising pregnant women on healthy eating, I have gained considerable insight, experience and knowledge about actions that ordinary people can take to improve their health and well being. And how to prevent chronic diseases that result from genetic predisposition and lifestyle choices like low fibre diets, high in carbs and low in essential nutrients while also being sedentary.
